What is the Diablo 3 storyline all about?

Blizzard has maintained its top place in the gaming world by coming out with Diablo 3 which has excelled in all the departments including music, art, difficulty level, traditional storyline, etc. The story begins from where Diablo 2 ended. It has been 20 years since the war ended. But peace can still not prevail in Sanctuary.

The sad part is that even after Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal – the three evils – were finished, the Worldstone could not be saved. It was the Worldstone that shielded the inhabitants of Sanctuary from the forces of the Burning Hells and High Heavens. With the Worldstone gone, the risk to Sanctuary is still there. That is why; Evil takes no time in stirring again. Most of the old heroes have either died or lost their mind. Can Sanctuary be saved again?

The player has a choice from five special character classes to choose and begin the battle against Evil once more. The hero will earn spells, special abilities, powerful items, and explore the new world of Sanctuary in search of Evil that is to be destroyed. There are some familiar areas in Sanctuary from the old editions but the battle is all new with greater difficulty in store.

Diablo 3 works both on Windows and Mac and features a brand new specially customized 3D-graphics engine. There is a brightness and intensity in the art that is evident both in the outdoors of Sanctuary and the dark dungeons. The vivid special effects add a new intensity to the game. There are all kinds of new traps and hurdles that are dangerous for both the enemies and the heroes. There is a new quest system and new random events integrated into Diablo 3. Diablo 3 seems to be the ultimate creation of playability that can be tried again and again. Player versus player version is also being introduced in Diablo 3. Adding to the dynamics of game play is the dual money system through which players can use both in-game gold and real-world cash to purchase items. Blizzard is not going to regulate the currency exchange rate by selling items in the game.
